Meet and greet at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to the Big 5 Private Game Reserve

We will pick you up from Cape Town International Airport and transfer you to the Big 5 Private Game Reserve near Mossel Bay. Along the way to meet the Big 5, we will stop for lunch (Lunch no included). After checking in at the Lodge you will have time to freshen up and relax after the long flight to South Africa. Dinner at the lodge around 19:00.

Morning and afternoon safari in the reserve

You will have an early start to the day with a morning game drive in the reserve, followed by breakfast. After breakfast you will be able to rest and use the rest of the facilities that the lodge offers. Lunch around 13:00 (lunch not included). We will then enjoy another afternoon safari. Dinner at the lodge around 19:00. Optional activities:  Spa Treatments in the Luxury Lodge Spa, Romantic Private Dinner Under the Stars, Guided Bush Walk, Great White Shark Helicopter flight. Whale Watching Boat Tour, Helicopter Wine Tasting at Jakkalsvlei Wine Farm, for the children: variety of exciting activities. All optional activities are not included and can be arranged upon request at your own additional cost.

Morning Safari, travel to Hermanus, stop at Swellendam 

You will have an early start to the day with your last early morning safari in the reserve, followed by breakfast. After breakfast you will  travel to Hermanus and stop along the way to Swellendam for lunch (lunch not included). After you check in your accommodation, in the afternoon. You will then have the opportunity to explore the facilities at your accommodation. Dinner around 19:00h.

Safari Cruise, Tour of Hermanus – the Whale Capital, Vineyard Safari and Wine Tasting

After Breakfast you will enjoy a safari cruise along the coast of Walker Bay and learn about the marine life that you will encounter. You will often see cape fur seals, colonies of penguins and if you are lucky you may see dolphins and bridal whales and Southern Right whales. However this  largely depends on the time of the year and the weather conditions. During the trip you will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and light beverages. After lunch you will have a tour of Hermanus and ample time for shopping. Hermanus is well known for its gourmet restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries, and is one of the major breeding grounds for southern right whales during the Whale Season between May/June and December. This popular coastal town has possibly the best land-based whale watching in the world. The animals can be clearly seen from a scenic cliff-top walk.

In the afternoon you will go on a unique Vineyard Safari and Wine tasting in an award-winning wine estate in the Overberg area, followed by a visit to one of the best waterfront restaurants near Hermanus. After dinner we will transfer you back to your accommodation.

Gordon’s Bay Visit and transfer to Cape Town International Airport

Breakfast at 8:00 and check-out of the hotel. After breakfast you will take a short tour of the  popular Gordon’s Bay, a picturesque coastal town known for its blue flag beach. We will then take you to Cape Town International Airport. End of tour.
