Shark Cage Diving Tour and Oysters and Cap Classique Wine Pairing
You will have an early start of the day and travel to a luxury five-star custom designed ocean view lodge in Kleinbaai. You will be welcomed with a hot cup of coffee and a nutritious breakfast. Whilst you enjoy breakfast, we get everyone signed in, ensure that everybody is ready, and do our best to answer any questions they may have. Safety is number one priority, all crew undergone intensive, thorough, and continuous training to ensure the ultimate safety of all on board. A marine biologist or skipper will give a detailed safety briefing and explain what you can expect when we get out to sea. Once you life jackets are on, we are a stone’s throw away from the harbour where you will board the vessel.
Cage-diving is by far the safest way to have a close encounter with our sharks as it allows divers to get up close and personal with these amazing animals. The cage is attached to the side of the boat and remains attached throughout the dive. You are helped in and out of the cage by the crew and are never alone, as the cage can hold up to 6 people at a time. No diving experience is necessary, as a simple breath holding method is used.
A typical dive will last about twenty to thirty minutes and ensures the diver has plenty of opportunities to take photos and to admire these majestic creatures. You will have the option to go into the cage twice and stay longer in there If you request.
A viewing deck, at the top of the boat, ensures perfect sightings, the boat is custom-built for shark cage diving and there is ample space to move around for better observation. You will enjoy cool refreshments on board too, such as water, soft drinks and a fruit basket. Upon your return to shore, we will have a light lunch awaiting you - typically this is homemade vegetable soups, fresh bread rolls or a selection of toasted sandwiches.
In the afternoon you will go on a unique wine experience in an award-winning wine estate in the Overberg area, and you will try oysters and Cap Classique wine pairing, followed by dinner. Dinner around 19:00.
